Parents, Guardians and Carers:
Welcome back to the world of Swish and Swipe, where a winter journey becomes a Christmas adventure.
In this story, Emily is excited for Christmas, but there is one important thing missing — a Christmas tree.
With George, Jean, and her two windscreen-wiper friends, Swish and Swipe, Emily sets off to find a tree that can be loved, cared for, and planted in the garden to grow year after year.
Along the way, Emily discovers that the smallest, wonkiest tree can still be the most special.
This is a gentle story about kindness, care, patience, and seeing beauty in something others may overlook.
As you read together, you can talk about looking after nature, and how little things—and young children—can grow when they are given care and encouragement.
So snuggle up, swish away the worries, swipe in some Christmas sparkle, and remember: love helps everything grow.
